If you are missing a lot of teeth, or if many of your teeth are failing, you probably struggle to smile, both for photographs and for your friends. You may experience pain when you bite or chew, and be forced to eat a limited diet. It’s likely that even the shape of your face is changing. Petaluma Valley Dental is proud to provide full mouth dental implants in Petaluma, CA, and with more than 25 years of experience in dentistry, you’re in good hands with Dr. Husein.
Also called full arch dental implants, these dental restorations are placed all on four to six titanium posts on each arch of your jaw. They are the most comprehensive solution to tooth loss, as full mouth dental implants can last a lifetime as long as you care for them. They restore up to 99% of your biting and chewing capacity, to boot.
It used to be that if you were missing many teeth, you had to get dentures. These days, you have a more versatile choice! While dentures may seem like the most convenient solution to tooth loss, they can often cause as many problems as they solve. Full mouth dental implants, on the other hand, function like your natural teeth. They promote healthy development of your jawbone. And unlike dentures, there’s no messy adhesive to deal with.
At Petaluma Valley Dental, our entire team (not only Dr. Husein, but all of his staff too!) wants to put you at ease about the process of getting full arch dental implants. While he can reinvigorate your smile in a single procedure, the full process can take a few months. We split it up into three stages.
At your first visit, you’ll meet with Dr. Husein and get digital scans done of your mouth. This helps to determine whether you’re a good candidate for full arch dental implants, as well as where Dr. Husein should place the implant posts.
When your full arch dental implants are placed, you’ll be under sedation. You may not feel a thing! In most cases, Dr. Husein can install a set of temporary restorations the same day as your surgery.
Three to six months after your dental implant surgery, you’ll return to Petaluma Valley Dental, and our implant experts will take a final impression of your mouth. Then Dr. Husein can start creating your restoration!
Petaluma Valley Dental makes affordable dental implants one of our priorities. That’s why we partner with major dental insurance providers as well as third-party dental financing companies. Dental implants may be more in the picture than you think! Give us a call today to find out how we can change your life.
